The last prompt fest was fun, so let's do another. This time it's a low-key one, where you can submit multiple prompts (and fill as many as you want!).

How it works:

:bulletblue: Comment here with up to 3 prompts for drawings or other artwork related to the subject of this group. These can be as specific ("Jessica in a steampunk pantsuit with her hair up, flying a zeppelin at night over London, in sepia watercolor") or general ("anything with Wyatt") as you want. It doesn't make a difference if you post them all at once or one by one.

:bulletblue: A list of prompts will be compiled in this journal as they come in.

:bulletblue: As soon as prompts start appearing, you can start claiming them. (You don't have to leave prompts to claim one, and you don't have to make a claim to leave prompts.) Comment with the number of a prompt you want to fill, and it'll be marked as claimed.

:bulletblue: Create your fills, submit them to moments-of-zen, and reply to the original prompter's comment to let them know their present is up!

:bulletblue: One claim at a time. After you finish and post the first, you can claim a second.

:bulletblue: The deadline for posting fills is August 31.

And that's it! If you have any questions, just comment here and ask. Otherwise, go forth and get started!

:bulletblue: :bulletred: :bulletblue: :bulletred: :bulletblue:

List of Prompts

1. For :iconcnnafterdark: - anything with "Stephen" and Paul

2. For :iconcnnafterdark: - anything with "Stephen" and Anderson

3. For :iconcnnafterdark: - anything with "Stephen" and himself

4. For :iconerinptah: - happy fluffy friendship shenanigans with a group of correspondents. Anyone would be great, but if you want suggestions, some of my favorites are Olivia, Wyatt, Sam, Kristen, Demetri Martin, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, and John Oliver. (And of course "Stephen" if you're setting it before 2005.)

5. For :iconopusqe: - A Les Miserables crossover sorta thing in which Colbert is Jean Valjean and Stewart is Javert and Colbert is stealing a banana and some Doritos instead of bread.

Group Info

The fangroup moments-of-zen is open to everyone who likes The Daily Show and/or The Colbert Report, and all things related. Complete rules are here!
Update, 12/5: Claiming time! Send a note to ErinPtah with the number of the wish you'd like to draw. Remember, the deadline is December 25.

Update, 12/3: Today is the last day to make wishes! Please send yours in by the end of the day, then people can start claiming =)

:iconxmasballs01plz: :iconxmasballs02plz: :iconxmasballs01plz: :iconxmasballs02plz:

Instead of a contest, this winter moments-of-zen is doing an art exchange. Here's how it works:

1) Think of something you would like to see drawn. It can be anything to do with The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, or related fandoms (Tek Jansen, John Hodgman's Books of Complete World Knowledge, etc.).

2) Leave a wish in the comments to this post. It can be as detailed or as simple as you want. Here's a form to get you started:

Idea:
Style:
Characters/pairings:
Rating (must be within dA's ToS):

3) This post will be updated with wishes as they come in -- the deadline is December 2.

4) On December 3, wishes go up for claiming. Please note ErinPtah to claim a wish! That way it can be a surprise who's claimed what :santa:

5) Artists, work on your claims through December 25.

6) Between December 25 and January 1, post your art and submit it to moments-of-zen!

You don't have to draw anything to make a wish. If there aren't enough artists to go around, artists will be able to claim multiple wishes. Hopefully this will all work out =)

Wishes

:santa: #1 :holly: sailorptah.deviantart.com/art/… :holly:
Idea: Pretty much any Colbert on Colbert action. There can never be enough Colbert selfcest, and I don't see much art of it, so it'd be really cool. Especially if you can get the character through in the drawing.
Style: Up to the artist
Characters/pairings: "Stephen"/"Stephen" or "Stephen Colbert"/Steve ColberT (the other Colbert that apparently chills out in his studio and does the Formidable Opponent segments, along with the Gorillaz interview)
Rating: Again, up to the artist. Could be Mature if they want it to be, or it could just be fluffy snuggles, whatever they feel like doing.

:santa: #2 :holly: opusqe.deviantart.com/art/A-Co… :holly:
Idea: I'm a big sucker for Stephen indulging in Jewish traditions. Like going to Temple with Jon, trying to celebrate Hanukkah, attempting to speak Hebrew/Yiddish, etc etc. Just anything cute where Stephen's doing his best to join Jon in Jewish traditions, and probably failing or accidentally saying something anti-Semitic like he is wont to do. It could be a drawing, comic, fic, whatever. I'm not too particular :D
Style: I don't really mind, as long as it has that holiday/winter feel to it!
Characters/pairings: Jon/Stephen, any version, any kind of relationship
Rating: I like it fluffy or just romantic, nothing too sexually explicit. Like no penises flying around and stuff k?

:santa: #3
Idea: Any of the female correspondents in fancy formal wear. Like you would dress for a nice holiday party. Sparkly jewelry a plus.
Characters/pairings: Sam Bee, Kristen Schaal, Olivia Munn, and/or Jessica Williams. (If you want to have any of the male correspondents accompanying them, that's fine too. As long as they're also dressed up.) If you want to draw something shippy, make it Olivia/Kristen. Otherwise, gen.
Rating: Can be as low as G if you want, but sexiness is welcome!

:santa: #4 :holly: sailorptah.deviantart.com/art/… :holly:
Idea: Jon actually taking on his guests in physical confrontations.
Style: Anything you want!
Characters/pairings: I have a heavy preference for Jon fighting Liam Neeson but will accept Jon vs. Bassem Youssef (guy needs some art here okay) or a free-for-all with Jon & Stephen/your favourite correspondent vs. anyone.
Rating: Uh. Whatever you want but I guess don't go too overboard? Fighting stuff like this could end up not working, in my opinion, if the rating's too high.

:santa: #5
Idea: Something to commemorate Wyatt leaving TDS. Maybe involving Team ____ T-shirts? Or puppets? Or any kind of zany adventures?
Characters/pairings: Wyatt/anyone, or just Wyatt with friends.
Rating: I was picturing something fluffy, but you can go sexy with it if you like.

:santa: #6
Idea: Sally Kohn teaching Stephen Colbert how to cook latkes, while Esteban Colberto observes
Characters/pairings: Stephen Colbert has a bit of a crush on her while Esteban Colberto ironically tries to tell him that she's a lesbian [link]
Rating: Not too dirty, whatever The Colbert Report could be rated

First, a word of promotion: KeepThemHonest is holding a political comic strip contest. (Warning for NSFW language.) Check it out.

Second, it's high time moments-of-zen held another contest of its own. Tensions are high in the world of fake news, so let's make it a contest about contests!

:turbopoke:

Pit a couple of characters against each other and show us the drama! They can be fighting over SuperPACs or ice cream flavors, whose beard is most epic or who makes a better Princess Leia -- basically, anything you can imagine is fair game.

Detailed rules are below!
